AN ELEPHANT THAT NEVER FORGETS
 (Haiku Poetry)

Saw an elephant
Hugged him too tight he felt hurt
He stares at me

Pet an elephant
Feed him too much he felt cramped
Now he stepped back

Guide an elephant
Trained him too fast he felt tired
He walked away. Pained.

He saw me, anguish
He never forgets the pain
The pain I caused him

For the tightest hugs
Because I am excited
To finally see him grow

For feeding him much
To nurture his well being
As I mind his health

For training him fast
To prepare and equipped him
To fight life's journey

He never forgets
Will never forget the pain
And grudges are kept

But never he will
Would remember the values
My actions implore

Because Elephant
Will remain an Elephant
That never forgets

Shuttered

Sentidos del Amor

I can hear the echo of melancholy
I can taste the hostile isolation
I can see the glare of emptiness
I can smell the rancid scent of despair
I feel cold, I am helpless

I long to listen to the hum of felicity
I miss to savor the sweetness of tranquility
I want to sniff the fragrance of solace
I ache to decipher the meaning of life
I yearn warmth, I am lost

But as I open my eyes, you came unexpectedly
I can't help to eavesdrop the voice within me
Now I say goodbye to the stench of loneliness
And will begin to relish the vivacity of your passionate touch
I am finally complete, I am loved

Life Under The Sea

"It is a curious situation that the sea, from which life first arose should now be threatened by the activities of one form of that life. But the sea, though changed in a sinister way, will continue to exist; the threat is rather to life itself" -Rachel Carson-

Did you know that large oceans around the world have something in common? Yes there is, these are man made garbages also known as marine debris stuck underneath the ocean. These are not only found at the bottom of the oceans but also found in almost all water resources on Earth. Unfortunately, majority of its composition came from land based resources, from factories, houses and sadly from human being.

Marine debris are everywhere. Metric tons of garbages are lying at the bottom of our ocean. These debris floats on the surface and is visible on the shoreline of our beaches. This causes problem to every marine life residing at the bottom of our seas. Sea creatures get trapped, entangled and killed. Small pieces of debris are being eaten that causes sickness and death among marine animals. Even corals are destroyed that impacts the habitat of fishes and the like. But these garbages do not only cause problem to every marine life, it also affects life on land. Rubbish such as soda cans, plastic bags, and water bottles causes beach goers, swimmers and divers injuries that can affect resorts to close due to water pollution hence, impacts tourism industry. Fisherman and marine workers are also affected and faces danger when navigating the ocean. Boat propellers are damaged by marine debris that causes accident on seas.

Marine debris is a worldwide problem but there is no easy solution to remove it but we can do something to help. As a human being we need to be responsible with our individual waste. Since we made it, we are accounted to clean it up. Do your individual research on how to join in an organization that advocate and support clean ocean. Volunteer on their program and activities. Recycle more and do creative ways to give awareness of this issue. Ultimately, the most effective and convenient way to reduce it is to not create it in the first place. We need to discipline ourselves and start caring for our water resources to bring back the life it has otherwise, we will lose twice. The life that the sea is giving us and our life itself.

The Savior

"In each individual the spirit is made flesh, in each one the whole of creation suffers, in each one a Savior is crucified."
                                                                                 -Hermann Hesse-

May was a very depressing month for my family. My grandmother passed away due to stroke. Four days after her internment, my uncle had the same condition and eventually left us. I was so devastated of all the things happening to our family and I feel scared. My physical, emotional and mental being feels so exhausted but I have only one source that keeps me composed and moved on, my faith in Him. I know everything has a purpose. He also suffered a lot, from the people he loved most, but He is so loving and save the people who led Him to his death. My feelings was plain black. But darkness cannot be defined without a light and I found it in Him. I was so blessed He has given me this talent to express my feelings and emotions and share it to those people who are also going through difficult times. He saved me from these circumstances, He will also do the same for you, just keep the faith!

A Mother's Love

"A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path."
                                                                                                  -Agatha Cristie-

This is my second version of Mother and Child. I made this when I was in my hometown for vacation. I was inpired to paint this subject because I was able go home and spend time with my loving mother and my dearest grandmother. Luckily one of my highschool batchmate likes the painting and bought it from me!

Abundance and Prosperity

"Painting of 8 koi fishes represents incoming Wealth arriving into your Home and Business."

Another artwork I made as a gift to a friend. I made this for their new business! According to Feng Shui, koi fishes are lucky symbol for wealth. Since we cannot afford to have a pond for koi fishes, I choose them as one of my painting subjects.

The Floating Sunflower

"And the yellow sunflower by the brook, in autumn beauty stood"  -William Cullen Brynt-

A painting for my sister. The exicetment and hapiness enveloped me when I went home to the province to see my family and stay with them for a couple of days. Working in Manila is very stressful so when I got home, I painted something that would relaxed my physical and emotional being. I was inspired with the blooming sunflower in Kawa Kawa and both me and my sister love sunflower so much so I painted something like this! The first sunflower I painted do not have stem on it as it represents the feeling of floating hapiness to be with my family and friends.
